WoodWorks is an essential app for ethical shoppers everywhere, and for family days out in Fife. It allows visitors to explore the woods of Falkland, and buy wood-crafted items with a story.
Get your tech-savvy family out enjoying nature! Give them an app that lets them explore the woodlands and bring them to life through their phones.
Do you want to buy products that are produced by young people in the woods in Fife, Scotland? Do you want to know who made them, where, and how? Support youth enterprise and get the full story behind each purchase.
Families can scan QR codes placed on woodland resources throughout the forest, or simply tap into the app, to:
- Find out all about the resource itself
- Learn how to make something cool out of it
- Buy products created from that actual resource!
WoodWorks app is produced by Hot Tap Media as part of WoodWorks, an innovative project delivered by Centre for Stewardship in partnership with Hot Tap Media, dot.rural and Fife Youth Arts Hub. The project is supported by Heritage Lottery Fund Young Roots, and Design in Action.
